1. My family all stayed at home in Shiga. My brother came back from Tokyo for five days.
We ate “ozouni” and “osechi” on New Year’s Day. Those food was cooked by grandmother and I. I got some otoshidama. And, we went to Hiyoshi Shrine. It was really crowding. Then, we went to visit my grandfather grave to Kyoto. After, I and my brother watched “manzai” at TV. We like watching it. On January 2nd, I went part time job all day. I was job from January 2 to January 6. So, I was very tired. I wanted to the bargain.

4.This day marks the birth of the tenth and final Sikh prophet-teacher.
5.Birth of Elvias Presley, singer.

7.Robert Scott and his party reached the South Pole in 1912.
8.Birth of AA Milne, author Winne the Pooh.
9.Sir Winston Churchill died on this day in 1965.
